By tracing evidence and patterns found in financially illiterate societies and events leading up to the Great Recession, it is clear, banks have an easier time manipulating consumers. Loopholes in the financial system allow for banks to coerce Americans into financial decisions they are not prepared for, so large banks and corporations use vulnerable Americans as a source of profit.
